Imagine this: the only sounds you can hear are moving water and an occasional fishing pole hitting the surface with some birds in the background. You see open water and a row of mountains with morning fog over them. You can smell the lingering sunscreen from the days before. This was a beautiful morning at Raystown Lake for Kyler and Joelle’s boat engagement session. It was *perfect.*
These two have a house boat on Raystown Lake and spend all of their free weekends together here. It’s their home away from home where they sleep under the stars and wake up alongside the shoreline. Meals are made on the water and laughter is permanent. Time moves slow while the campfire smell lingers. Rafts are always ready to welcome new friends and memories blur late into the night. Joelle and Kyler are lake birds as I call them and I was incredibly honored to head up to their favorite place on earth to capture their boat engagement session. These are some of my favorite images to date and I can’t wait for you to see them!
Between the fog, waves from the boat and the beautiful morning with a champagne toast, I don’t know how you can do it better. These two are getting married in two months on a tropical island my excitement cannot possibly be contained. We are going to have the best time just like we did for their boat engagement session. Enjoy some of my favorite images below!
