Our 2019 Disney World Vacation | Part 2

personal, travel

If you’re just tuning in, catch up on Part 1 of our Disney trip here!

Day 4
Wednesday started with Animal Kingdom bright and early! We had breakfast reservations at Tusker House. We went here on our trip in 2017 and loved it so much we decided to go back. Not only is a character breakfast, but their juice is the best ever. And in true Disney fashion, they exceeded our expectations. I was raving over the sauce for some of the breakfast meat and a cast member printed off the recipe for us and brought it over to our table! Talk about service.

After we ate and met Donald Duck, Mickey and Minnie we headed over to Pandora to ride Na’vi River Journey. It is a gorgeous ride, but we wouldn’t wait more than 20 minutes for it so we decided to do it when there was no wait! After that we got on Expedition Everest a couple of times and then went over to ride on the safari: one of our favorite parts! After that we had Fast Passes for Flight of Passage and then ate some lunch in the sun before heading over to Epcot. We grabbed some more margaritas and rode Test Track and Mission Space before taking the monorail over to the Polynesian. We ate at Ohana which was another repeat dinner for us that we loved so much the first time. The food and drinks are delicious and you can watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks from your table – so awesome!

Day 5
We started Thursday in Magic Kingdom with breakfast reservations at Be Our Guest. We love this place and also love that it is a quick service credit vs. a table service. Beast’s castle is impeccable and such a lovely place to sit and enjoy. It was pouring when we arrived in the morning, but after our breakfast the rain had stopped for the most part which was so nice! Rain and cold are not fun. We used our fast passes, explored Tom Sawyer island before heading back to our resort to take a break.

That afternoon we took the boat from French Quarters to Disney Springs! Such a fun experience and the sun came out making it even more enjoyable. We loved walking around the shops, seeing live music and just exploring! We had reservations at Boathouse which was super delicious (get a steak!) and enjoyed some more live music before heading back to our resort and calling it a night.

Day 6
For Christmas I surprised Seth with tickets to the African Safari Trek in Animal Kingdom. This is a special reserved event where you go in depth to learn more about the animals and get to cross bridges, watch them train and eat and get a close up experience with the animals. We had a 8:00 am reservation and spent the entire morning with tour guides hiking and learning. It was so awesome! We got to watch the baby giraffe for the longest time and loved every minute of it.

After Animal Kingdom we popped over to Hollywood Studios to use our Fast Passes and see Indiana Jones. We stopped at the TapHouse there which we love and then ate dinner at Mama Melrose’s Ristorante which was SO good! Highly recommend.

Before heading out we bought an ornament (something we do when we travel somewhere together) and caught the fireworks before getting on our bus back home.

Day 7

Sadly on Saturday we had to head out and leave so we woke up early, grabbed breakfast and took the Magical Express back to Orlando Airport.

We loved our time in Disney so much and made such amazing memories. We laughed all week, felt like we were kids and enjoyed so many delicious meals, snacks and drinks. Disney truly is the most fun for all ages and there are nonstop activities for all types of people. Until next time!
