The year 2020 has sure been a wild one. Although the year has been full of uncertainty and hard times, my favorite thing to come of it has been the intimate celebrations of marriage. While the state of the world may have adjusted my clients’ plans for their big day – they all have taken it in stride and rolled with the punches. For example Erin & Ryan and their Cypress House wedding. 20 something people at wedding receptions may be my new favorite gig. Ever.
Two beautiful humans joined hands under a gorgeous October sky and vowed to love one another forever. It was perfect. Lovely. Private. Completely beautiful and full of lots of pretty florals and sparkles and white buttons. While the details were overflowing and abundant, the joy from the day really came from the people. Erin and Ryan were so appreciative of everyone around them and were elated to join together as husband and wife. Every time I would glance in their direction they were laughing at one another, a family member or sneaking in kisses. Above all – the kind of people who value their love and marriage most. And that really is just my jam. My heart is overflowing from such a joyous occasion.
I’ve always wanted to shoot an open air reception and The Cypress House and staff knocked this one out of the park. It was absolutely stunning. It may have been “Plan B” but Erin and Ryan agreed it was way better than their original plan and I couldn’t agree more. They celebrated their love with their closest family all day and well into the night with good music, great company and a lineup of good drinks. I’m so happy they were able to have their dream day and completely honored they selected me to capture it for them. Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Pfautz!
