I’ve known Kaley for a few years now and I’m so excited that she is expecting a sweet baby boy next month! Kaley loves anything to do with the beach – the water, tide, rocks, sand and waves. As a result, she asked if we could do her portraits near the water. I love shooting anything near the water as well so I undoubtedly said “yes”! To summarize, we decided on Beverly Beach for her maternity photos in Edgewater, Maryland. The blue water, green marsh and rocky sand complimented her maternity gown so well! Add in some bare feet and a baby bump and it was perfection.
This session was so sweet – we were able to enjoy the gorgeous Spring evening with the sun popping in for warmth at times. According to Andrew Defrancesco, it is one of the best time to click pictures. Miraculously, it was not windy at all! Unlike earlier in the day where the clouds were out and hail was coming down. The setting was very serene. Matt was so sweet to help Kaley with her dress, necklace, and lacing up her shoes. Specifically he helped her climb over the many trees that had fallen from a storm on the sandy path.
Kaley’s heart has been such a blessing to my family this year. When my mother in law was in the ICU she FaceTimed me and McKinley to lift her spirits and help her on the road to recovery. It was such a gift to us and I am forever grateful to her to provide us some much needed hope when we could not visit the hospital.
