As a Greencastle engagement photographer, I’ve learned that the most timeless backdrop isn’t always a mountain view or city skyline; it’s a wide-open field with golden light and two people completely smitten with one another. Max and his bride-to-be are proof that simplicity never goes out of style.
Their story began at MCC, where she was attending a women’s golf clinic and Max was the golf pro teaching the class. After some flirty comments to a friend about the “cute instructor,” Max slid into her DMs that very evening with a message both charming and sincere. He asked her to dinner, away from the eyes of 30 ladies. Their first date was a homemade steak dinner (which he overcooked, too busy talking and smiling at her – classic), and the rest was history.
Fast forward to July 2024 – – Max proposed on the same course where they first met. With their dogs nearby, twinkle lights set up at tee box 7, and their best friend secretly orchestrating outfit rescues behind the scenes, Max asked her to spend forever together. She said yes and the rest is history!
We photographed their engagement in her parents backyard. It was the perfect Greencastle field surrounded by warm light and tall grass. Oh, and cows! Of course! No elaborate props or fancy setups; just the two of them, wrapped in laughter and warmth, the same kind that started over burnt steaks and a golf lesson. 😉
