I met Meghan & Hunnter last week for their Old Town Virginia engagement session, and it could not have been a more perfect evening. The weather was warm, the light was soft, and the charm of Old Town was fully on display. We started our session wandering the cobblestone streets and brick-lined sidewalks, soaking in the historic feel of downtown. From the cute shops to the ivy-covered buildings, every corner was picture-perfect.
As the sun started to dip lower in the sky, we made our way to the waterfront. The water was calm, and the air had that golden, late-spring glow that photographers dream about. One fun surprise? The skies were FULL of planes—it was like an airshow just for us! Somehow it added to the magic of the evening rather than taking away from it.
More than anything, I loved getting to know Meghan & Hunnter better. We chatted about their wedding plans, the story of the ring and the surprise, and their vision for their big day. I’m beyond excited to celebrate with them in 2026, especially with the talented team at Unique By Wedding Events helping bring it all together. Even more special? Their wedding will be close to home for me—a rare treat—and will take place in their own backyard.
There’s something so meaningful about starting their engagement photos in the heart of Old Town and continuing the celebration in their hometown next year. It’s going to be one for the books. If you’re planning your own Old Town Virginia engagement session, I highly recommend it—this spot has the perfect blend of romance, history, and waterfront charm.
