It’s officially summer, and that means the longest days of the year, golden hour magic, and warm evenings spent outside. The sun is finally winning the battle against the rain; hallelujah! And with that sunshine, I can feel my soul slowly starting to heal.

This recent maternity session reminded me why I love being a Greencastle maternity photographer. I’m absolutely obsessed… okay, manic, with this location. Between the flowing BLUE water, smooth river rocks, and the way the light poured in just before sunset, it was an actual dream. It’s rare to find a spot that feels this peaceful and cinematic all at once.

Even more special? This session featured two of my favorite people; my sister-in-law and brother-in-law who will be welcoming a sweet baby in just a few short months. Getting to photograph this chapter for them, while also anticipating becoming Aunt Cait, makes this gallery one of my all time favorites. I can’t believe we will find out so soon if this little babe is a boy or a girl!
